Jakarta, May 14th 2020 – The on-going COVID-19 pandemic, which brought various changes in carrying out activities during Ramadan, could potentially serious impact people's mental health. The limitations of physical social interaction cause a feeling of isolation because of not being able to directly visit or meet their family during the Ramadan moment. In addition, anxiety also increases due to fear of economic conditions that will occur in the future.
Encourage to take a good care of mental health, Bank OCBC NISP presents #NyalakanHati movement
A survey conducted by Bank OCBC NISP at the end of April 2020 showed that 61% of respondents were worried or very worried about the pandemic situation; it is said that 29% of respondents feel stressed, 40% feel anxious, and 68% feel bored[1]. Aligned to the survey, the Kantar survey also showed an increase in anxiety. The biggest influencing factor, which is 49% caused by the concerns on the pandemic’s impact on daily life, including freedom of social interaction. Then, the second biggest factor caused by the concerns about financial health, which is equal to 43%[2].
