Bank OCBC NISP & Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) Central Jakarta Launched a Sustainable Ecosystem to Support MSMEs

Jakarta, 3 November 2022 - Bank OCBC NISP and the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) Central Jakarta signed the #JakPusONPreneurship program, a collaborative ecosystem to support MSME players in sustainable growth. The collaboration aims to conduct series of programs including business development, trainings as well as provide solutions and financial access for HIPMI members and entrepreneurs.

According to Ministry of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, the contribution of MSMEs to the State's National Income reach 61.1% in 2021. Thus, MSMEs’ important role towards the economy must be more resilient as they are now facing challenging economic conditions, including the recession threat.

Heriwan Gazali, Head of Retail Loan Business Bank OCBC NISP said, “Updated and sustainable business management training aspects are very much needed in business development, which needs to be supported by practical financial solutions to promote entrepreneurs to grow their business. Bank OCBC NISP has banking solution for individuals, entrepreneurs, namely Nyala Bisnis supported by ONe Mobile as a digital banking solution. We also have a variety solution for business entities, with Velocity to support all kinds of digital banking transactions anywhere and anytime. Furthermore, we also support women SMEs with the #TAYTB Women Warrior gender-based financing program.”

Moreover, Heriwan also stated that the Bank also provides beyond banking solutions to assist entrepreneurs on the management as the added value for the customers. Bank OCBC NISP's focus is to support Indonesian MSME players to be resilient in facing business challenges.

Muhammad Riandy Haroen, Chairman of BPC HIPMI Central Jakarta said, “The collaboration between HIPMI Central Jakarta and Bank OCBC NISP is an effort to provide a positive contribution to the National economy which is starting to gradually recover followed by the increase of people's purchasing power. Hence, we need to optimize the momentum by having collaborative effort to increase the capabilities of MSME players to face future business challenges, especially in digital, marketing, branding, financial and funding aspects.”

Bank OCBC NISP and HIPMI Central Jakarta also held a talk show attended by MSME players with "MSMEs Move Forward with Integrated Ecosystem" as the topic. During the talk show, Julius Emilio, Chief Commercial Officer of Paper.id said "As a business player and digital platform that supports MSME’s business to have easier & more efficient operation, we hope the collaboration between OCBC NISP Bank and HIPMI Central Jakarta can increase MSME businesses understanding towards the usage of digital technology for their operational.”

Bank OCBC NISP consistently providing relevant banking and beyond banking solutions for MSME players. In products and services, the Bank has Nyala Bisnis for individual business accounts, TAYTB WOMEN Warriors for women entrepreneurs, KTA CashBiz online funding, as well as cash management and trade finance solutions. Per end of September 2022, Bank OCBC NISP recorded loan increased by 12.1% YoY, which was supported by loan growth in all segments, including green financing.
