Highlighting Indonesia's Technology Bank OCBC NISP and OCBC Group Host ONe Connect series: Chinese Technology in Indonesia

Jakarta, 15 May 2023 - Bank OCBC NISP and OCBC Group presented ONe Connect Series: Chinese Tech in Indonesia forum, a cross-industry meeting attended by domestic and foreign technology industry players, entrepreneurs, experts, and investors to work together in advancing the technology industry in Indonesia.

Scheduled to run from 15-17 May 2023 at The Langham, Jakarta, the event is expected to provide a platform for tech companies to synergize. Sandiaga Uno, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, was in attendance at the opening day of the event to further explore Indonesia's potential in innovation and technological advancement.

Indonesia has been one of the fastest growing technology markets in Southeast Asia in recent years. The country has a large population with high internet penetration, making it a mature market for tech companies to capitalise on. In addition, the Indonesian government is supporting the tech industry, launching initiatives such as Making Indonesia 4.0 to encourage the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies and improve Indonesia's manufacturing competitiveness.

In line with the spirit of promoting the competitiveness of technological development in Indonesia, the Bank OCBC NISP believes that in order to build an advanced Indonesia, technology plays an important role in reaching out to various levels of the society. Therefore, through this activity, the bank aims to create an ecosystem that can enhance the synergy of stakeholders and play an important role in supporting the adoption of technology through various innovations in banking services.

The three-day forum will feature keynote speeches, panel discussions and networking sessions. Keynote speakers will include prominent business leaders, government officials and technology industry experts. Panel discussions will focus on various topics related to the technology industry, such as digital economy, healthtech and sustainable digital economy. The networking sessions will provide opportunities for Indonesian and Chinese companies to network and explore potential business partnerships.
